FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about Athens Passes

The Athens City Pass offers you free admission to numerous top attractions in Athens, including the famous Acropolis with the Parthenon and the New Acropolis Museum. Additionally, a Hop-On-Hop-Off bus city tour is included in the pass.

You also benefit from attractive discounts: up to 30% on tours and up to 50% on certain museum admissions. Optionally, you can extend the pass with a public transport ticket or even a day cruise to the islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina.

The validity begins automatically on the day you select when booking. From the first use, the pass runs for the selected number of consecutive days without interruption.

Important: You must use the pass for the first time within 12 months of purchase, otherwise it expires. The duration cannot be paused or extended - therefore plan your travel period carefully to make optimal use of all services.

With the Athens City Pass you get single admission per included attraction within the validity period. This means: One attraction = one free visit.

Exceptions are expressly noted in the pass documentation, but generally unlimited multiple access with the same pass does not apply.

No public transport ticket is included in the standard version, but you can optionally add a local transport ticket when booking. With this ticket you can use all important public transport in Athens unlimitedly.

This includes: buses, trolley buses, trams, metro (lines 1-3) and suburban railway in the city area. The validity is 1 day (for 1-day pass) or 5 days (for longer passes).

No, airport connections are excluded. The optionally available local transport ticket does not apply to journeys from or to Athens International Airport.

You must purchase a separate ticket for airport transfer (metro or express bus X95). Plan accordingly for your arrival and departure.

Yes, you benefit from fast-track access at many popular attractions. Particularly to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum you get priority entry without queuing at the ticket office.

Since your ticket is already included in the pass, you can often use separate entrances and don't have to stand in the regular queue. However, security checks must still be completed.

Children and young people aged 6-17 receive the Athens City Pass at a reduced price. Very young children under 6 often don't need their own pass, as many attractions offer free admission for this age group.

Young people under 18 must show proof of age when entering some attractions. The exact prices and age categories will be displayed during the booking process.

You receive your Athens City Pass immediately digitally via email after online booking. In the email you will find all tickets and QR codes as an attachment or link.

You can either save the documents on your smartphone or print them out if needed. Postal shipping is not necessary - everything is sent free of charge via email. If you don't receive an email, also check your spam folder.

Yes, cancellation is possible up to one day before the first day of validity, provided the pass has not yet been used and no fixed reservations have been issued.

You will receive a refund of the purchase price minus a processing fee of €30 per City Pass. You can easily arrange the cancellation yourself via your Turbopass account under "My Tickets".

Since you receive the pass digitally, loss is unlikely. If you have misplaced your printout, simply log into your Turbopass account.

Under "My Account" > "My Tickets" you can download, print or have your City Pass and all tickets sent to you again via email. Your pass therefore never really gets lost.

No, the Athens City Pass is personal and non-transferable. When purchasing, the pass is issued to one name and only this person may use it.

Sharing with friends or family is not possible. However, you can purchase separate passes in their names. ID verification is rarely required, but can occur.
